The early results are in and the Hi-Plains Sports Wagering Brain Trust is 1-1. Maryland had Clemson right where we wanted them, but gave up two touchdowns in the final 8 minutes to cost us.
Penn State did put up way more points than I thought they could, but they put up one too few, beating UC by 18. The spread was 18.5, nice handicapping by the boys in Sin City.
Minnesota is all over Colorado St. so I'm glad we stayed away, and as I noted, I'm kicking myself for not believing in Spurrier. SC is down one to Georiga and threatening as the first half comes to a close. Still a long way to go, but at 18 points I'm ready to throw my visor.
What a great night of college football...I'm going to have to be as deft as a samurai on the remote, evaluating the Huskers, watching the end of SC-UGA, keeping tabs on Tejas and finally catching the fourth in Arizona St-LSU.
