I should probably save this post for another day considering I posted a press conference recap less than an hour earlier, but some things can't wait.
Uber-Husker fan Robert, of Merry Xmas and Holy Grail fame, has uncovered yet another absolute gem of Husker merchandise. (That's why I made him HiPlainsDrifter.com's Royal Chancellor of Nebraska Uniform and Merchandise Eccentricity.)
Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce you to Harrietta Husker:
Yes, she is, according to the eBay seller, the "wife" of Harry Husker but I don't see a ring on that finger. (Here's a slight close-up, and a full rug view, which, depending on your thought process, may not be what you think.)
I don't know where Cripple Creek Auctions out of Denver, CO is getting their Husker gear, but they have now added two glorious chapters to Nebraska's logo history in less than a month. And, I don't know where they're getting their information either, but they're pretty good about providing the historical background for these items as well. (Note: In all likelihood, by the time you read this the auction will be over but the item page should still be available for a while. It's worth clicking.)
Do a Google image search for Harrietta Husker and you turn up nothing. Hopefully this post changes that. Harrietta needs to live on and, due to that fact, I'm giving serious consideration to getting this tattooed on my arm.

I'm glad that you liked Harrietta. I nearly placed another, much higher bid in an effort to secure that rug, but then I chickened out. I am sure that I will regret, because that is among the coolest Cornhusker souvenirs I have ever seen.
The guy at Cripple Creek Auctions has been selling a lot of amazing Cornhuskers items for months (maybe years). One of his sources is a guy who used to work for the team, and who saved everything imaginable.
When you said a 'full-rug view', I got my hopes up. Harrietta is smokin'
