Every college in the country is convinced that it has the greatest fans in the world. For the most part it's a tireless and endlessly entertaining argument to have, but there is only one school that literally has it written in stone: Nebraska.
In a state where hyperbole is about as welcome as hailstones, this inscription above the gates to Memorial Stadium never ceases to amaze me and there's a reason for that. The feats of Nebraska fans rarely cease to amaze me and Jeff brought to light a great one on DXP the other day.
An enterprising poster at Husker Illustrated has come up with a creative way for Husker fans who are now Wake Forest season ticket holders--I never get tired of that tactic--to get rid of their extras: donate them to nearby Fort Bragg.
You can find the address and further details over at Double Extra Point. If this happens in anywhere near the numbers Nebraska fans are known for, you can count on it becoming a national story and I hope that the Husker Illustrated poster gets credit for doing the ground work and Jeff gets credit for the scoop.
Let's see what TJ Simers has to say about that.
