Time to get down to business, it's Week 4. As promised, more games, more mayhem. And, to let you know how serious HPBT is about getting back on top, we're throwing out own rules to the wind and picking against the Huskers.
Air Force @
Colo. St. -3.5
I'm generally weary of taking the Thursday night game. In college, it seemed we would always bet this because it was the only game going, but I feel good with the Rams at home.
Michigan @
Mich. St. -5.5
Michigan is a certifiable Top 10 team. Is Michigan St.? This is a must-win plus an intrastate battle...Hail to the Victors!
Iowa St. @
Nebraska -3.5
Why is Nebraska favored in this game? How is it possible? They have three(!) TD drives this entire season, one of which started from the opposition's one-yard line. I would've expected the Cyclones by 3.5, and I don't care the Iowa St. hasn't won at Nebraska since 1977. Callahan doesn't care about Husker tradition, why should I?
Florida @
Alabama +4
Alabama's defense could be the best in the nation, they have a quarterback and they're getting points at home.
Oregon @
Stanford +7
Stanford lost to a team that used to play Chadron State. Oregon was leading USC.
USF @
Miami (FL) -21
Would the Canes be favored by three TDs against Louisville? Probably not. It's not like the Bulls squeaked by the Cardinals last week, I think they hang tough.
Notre Dame @
Purdue -3
Notre Dame is undefeated on the road thus far under their new head coach. Purdue lost a tough one last week at Minnesota, another surprising line.
Kansas St. @
Oklahoma -6.5
I'm not ready to pick the Wildcats to win outright yet, but I'm close. Kansas St. has quietly been better than people thought this year, and the Sooners are realing.
Boise St. @
Hawaii +10.5
Hawaii always plays tough under the lights after eveyone has gone to bed. I think they sneak under the spread this time.
LSU @
Miss. St. +14.5
I have no faith in the coach of LSU after Monday night's debacle. Can he get his team ready to play on the road off a short lay off? I say nay.

I agree with most of your selections but one that I think you are over looking is:
Kansas
@
Texas Tech -19
You have said you think Tech can have a hundred point ball game and I feel this might be the week that this comes true. But anyway good luck on your selections and I just want you to know I have lost my house following your bets so far this season so you need to turn it around soon.
Sorry about the house, luckily I have made it a point to throw the "entertainment only" disclaimer in there a few times.
Don't worry, this week is going to be like Dave Roberts stolen base in Game 4 of the 2004 ALCS. I'd say by next Monday Al Pacino will be flying me to New York, calling me the "Marlboro Man," buying me an imported suit and letting me pick games for his worldwide gambling syndicate.
Additionally, this Kansas-TT game has me a little worried. Sure Tech can score on anyone, the lead the nation in Passing, Total and Scoring Offense, but this ain't your daddy's Jayhawks. They have the 36th best defense in the country, doesn't sound like much, but that's in the top third.
Plus, even though the Jayhawks are 3-0, they need a big win to announce their arrival on the Big 12 map. Could this be the week?
Texas Tech has had the most ridiculous schedule to date, it will be interesting to see what they can do against what should be a formidable opponent. If I had to take this game, I would probably go with the Red Raiders, but I won't be surprised if Kansas gives them a fight.
