Morning Walk-thru - Ouch

A-Rod hits two homers and nobody cares*...Alex Rodriguez hit his 13th and 14th home run of the season but it didn't matter as the Yankees lost to the Devil Rays 10-8.

That makes four straight for the Yankees, and, personally, I love it. Sure, they only have half a team, but it's always good to watch the "good" guys struggle.

Sawx lose, but I enjoyed it...Happened to be in the second row for the Sox loss to Toronto last night, but it was all worth it considering I was in basically the on-deck circle for the Jays. Frank Thomas is huge. Greg Zaun is not. These were more than foul ball seats, they were broken bat seats.

Can't ask for much more than that.

Cubs continue to kill me...Despite going up 4-0 on the Brewers with Zambrano on the hill, the Cubs still lost in 12 innings 5-4. I'm not sure how much worse it can get,

Of course the Cubs got their chances but two home runs by Prince Fielder, a member of the Fruit Jar Drinkers, killed the Cubs.

Someday they'll get a break, I swear. The question is: will it matter? I'm doubtful.

Coming soon...my first ever post in the Big Red Roundtable series. For those of you who are non-Nebraska fans (shame on you), feel free to skip this whenever it appears this week.

* Forgive the brevity. Today's post was severely hampered by last night's Jays-Sox over indulgence.

Is the rumor true? The vendors are starting to through the slices of pizza like a bag of peanuts? Of course in the section you were in it was probably uppity pizza like California Pizza Kitchen. You don’t throw organic crust pizza not even near a Canadian.
