Two pieces of note today:
The first comes courtesy of CollegeFootballNews.com's Pete Fiutak, one of my favorites in the game. This is the first of a series taking a look at how some of the traditionally great programs of yesteryear can get back to being traditionally great. First up is Florida State but I can't wait to see his plan for Nebraska.
Second comes via The Wizard of Odds. This whole Franchione newsletter mess is bound to get ugly. Real ugly. According to the post (and accompanying Dallas Morning-News piece), A&M is launching an internal investigation to determine whether or not the Coach Fran Express Daily Herald Sun violated any NCAA rules.
They should probably begin their investigation in Las Vegas and see what the A&M lines have done over the past few years because if information like this wasn't used for gambling purposes then A&M has the most altruistic group of boosters in the country.
Is there anyway Franchione keeps his job past this season?

The only way Fran keeps his job is if he wins the rest of his games. Then they'll magically find a way to rationalize all of it.
It's almost like he did this to find a way out. Is he this stupid?
How did they find out again? Did a booster give him up?
